READY FOR CHANGE?
The moment you become a client,
your life’s trajectory will change
Why? Because you decided to invest in the identity of who God created you to be.
Ready for a change, but not sure where to start?
Maybe you’ve tried traditional therapy, talked things over, and felt some relief—yet no lasting change. Or perhaps this is your first time seeking help, feeling overwhelmed by “what ifs” and wondering, “What’s wrong with me?”
At Wholly Beautiful, there are no labels or diagnoses—just support, understanding, and love. If you're looking for a diagnosis, I may not be the right fit.
Combining the strengths of EMDR, art therapy, and Christian counseling to provide a comprehensive path to emotional wellness. Whether through reprocessing trauma, expressing emotions through creative outlets, or finding spiritual grounding through faith, each approach offers a unique pathway to healing. By addressing the mind, body, and spirit, these therapies work together to help individuals overcome obstacles and achieve holistic growth.
Our Integrated Approach to Helping You Heal
You are welcome, and you are safe.
At Wholly Beautiful, your sessions will be unique. You'll laugh, cry, create art you'll love, and even make pieces you’ll want to toss—and I'll help you do it!
It's normal to avoid emotions, but shutting down the negative also blocks the positive, leading to survival mode. Here, though, you can feel relaxed and comfortable from the start. No need to hide; both your insecurities and strengths are welcome.
Whether we meet online or in person, your emotions, thoughts, and feelings will be safe, seen, and heard.
Our sessions are times for curiosity and self-exploration.
You’ll gain tools, language, and resources to explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, helping you become who you were created to be.
In our sessions, you’ll learn mindfulness, breathwork, and meditation techniques that work for you. You’ll explore coping skills, self-care, and ways to tap into your inner and outer resources.
Discovering your mind, body, heart, and soul—and learning what you can and can’t control—is all part of the journey. Openness and authenticity are a must; coffee is optional.

Take a deep breath. No really. Take a deep breath—You don’t know, and neither do I. I can’t guarantee that art therapy, counseling, EMDR or life coaching will make any difference in your life because I don’t know the depth of your commitment.
But… the moment you take action on the commitment to making changes in your life, things within and around you begin to shift. One of the main concepts I work on with clients is acceptance. You cannot know that something will work until you try it. However, the way you approach your sessions, the energy you bring, and understanding your motivation for doing it will make ALL the difference in your life and our sessions together.
What you put into it is what you get out of it, and you’ll know if it’s working because the process will become more challenging and probably even emotionally painful. I’ll be with you every step of the way.
-
First, re-read that last FAQ. I can’t guarantee that I am the right fit for you. But we can chat in a free consultation so that you can decide for yourself. And since we’re on this topic, if a therapist or any other helping professional “can guarantee” any outcome for you, run.
-
If you got this far and found this question, I would be willing to bet that you are my ideal client. My ideal client is ready and willing to take on the challenge of making changes in their life. Potential clients who come to me wanting to change other people in their lives probably aren’t ready to make this kind of commitment to themselves.
This kind of healing takes determination and commitment. There will be mountains to climb, valleys to wade through, and peaks to claim along the journey. I’ll be here to tackle all of it with you, cheering you on and celebrating your achievements. It will be hard and it will be worth the work!

I see my clients as human beings. Imperfect. Worthy. Enough. And, above all, wholly beautiful (that’s right, my clients inspired my business name).
My clients are determined, resilient, and confident but may not be aware of their power. I help them reconnect with these parts of themselves and accept the existing imperfections in them and all people.
I view my clients as the experts in their own lives and responsible for the direction in which they move. I provide information and resources, and my clients decide what to do with them.

You are not a cereal box, a filing cabinet, or a competitor. At Wholly Beautiful, there are no labels, judgments, or diagnoses.
Crossing into the art therapy studio, you'll feel safe, welcomed, and inspired—a space filled with compassion and acceptance.
At Wholly Beautiful, you are seen and valued as the unique individual you are. Your story is as deep as the ocean and as wide as the earth.
In individual art therapy sessions, you’ll find the time and space to share your story—whatever its pages hold—with someone who listens and guides you through the pain.
Individual art therapy with me is a healing space where art opens the conversation between you and me, allowing self-expression, insight, and reflection. At Wholly Beautiful, I believe you are the expert on your own life; I am here as a compassionate guide, offering tools, coping skills, and art directives to help you explore and understand your story.
As we work together, I’ll listen without judgment, reflect on what you share through imagery and words, and encourage curiosity and self-awareness. Art can reveal insights that may surprise you, sparking hope and offering new perspectives. Sometimes, we may even "listen" to the art: If your art could speak, what would it say?
Art therapy is deeply beneficial. Beyond reducing stress, anxiety, and even heart rate, art-making enhances self-worth, emotional regulation, and self-awareness. Combined with talk therapy, it can help you identify and shift problem behaviors and negative thoughts, guiding you toward meaningful change.
Through this process, you’re never alone. I’m here to process the art with you, provide coping strategies, and support actionable steps forward—always at a pace that feels right for you.
Find the right path through art therapy
-
Art therapy facilitates a visual conversation between the art therapist and the art therapy client. Sometimes, art is about expressing something non-verbal. Other times, the art-making and imagery physically create distance so that the artist can finally let go.
The art-making process and imagery inform the art therapist on what and how to ask questions that hopefully lead to insight for the client.
In my process as an art therapist, I also utilize other modalities and theories that inform how I work with my clients. These modalities include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, energy-based healing, and movement therapy (yoga).
Every person holds experiences and environmental, cultural, and biological factors that inform who they are and how they fit in their world. This viewpoint also means that there is no one way for someone to heal. Awareness of many different approaches to healing strengthens the process and encourages a path that is as unique as the person. As with any form of healing, art therapy is what you make of it.
If you are looking for a traditional definition, “Art therapy is an integrative mental health and human services profession that enriches the lives of individuals, families, and communities through active art-making, creative process, applied psychological theory, and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship.”
-
You do not need any skill, talent, or practice to engage in art therapy. Art therapy is not about the aesthetics of your art – it’s about the meaning, thought, emotion, and action behind it and where it may lead. It is a judgment-free zone.
So, no, you do not need to view yourself as an artist, but you should know that I see you as an artist. I believe that anyone who creates something that wouldn’t otherwise exist is an artist.
-
Sure, but I have a question for you. How’s that been going for you so far?
What you’ve been doing hasn’t been working. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be here searching for something to help. So, let’s try healing first and see where it takes you.

Sessions are generally 55 minutes, and I tend to work a lot on self-care routines with my clients, but below I will outline a typical life-coaching session.
The client comes prepared with 1-3 topics to focus on.
The session begins with a check-in on any previous session goals.
Previous achievements are celebrated and any unmet goals are re-evaluated with growth strategies.
New goals are discussed. Sometimes there is a specific outcome for the end of the session. Other times, the session is spent strategizing and setting up a plan for goals outside of session.
There is a mid-point check to makes sure the client is on track for her desired outcome. We move through topics until the end of the session.
At the end of the session, goals and outcomes are reviewed and the client leaves with a plan in hand for current goals.
**Longer sessions may be required planning for bigger, long-term goals to be broken down into smaller, more manageable steps.

Solution-Focused
Direction
Christ-Centered Coaching is a focused, intentional partnership designed to help you bridge the gap between where you are today and the fullness of the life God has designed for you. This is not counseling—which often addresses past trauma or mental health diagnoses—but a forward-looking, action-oriented process that helps you clarify your calling, overcome obstacles, and grow in spiritual maturity. We help you align your goals, habits, and daily actions with your faith, using biblical principles as the blueprint for success and fulfillment.
We coach from a foundation that recognizes the essential role of wisdom found in community. Scripture reminds us, “Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety” (Proverbs 11:14, ESV). This coaching recognizes that seeking insight and accountability within the fellowship of other Christ-followers is not a sign of weakness, but a commitment to wisdom and safety.
Through our partnership, you gain the focused guidance, prayerful support, and Christ-focused accountability you need to step out in faith, make confident decisions, and live with intentionality, all while being continually rooted in grace and truth.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a specialized therapy designed to help heal emotional distress from trauma and disturbing life experiences. While focusing on a memory, the client engages in bilateral stimulation (like eye movements), which is believed to replicate the brain's natural processing during REM sleep.
This process essentially "unblocks" the memory, moving it from the brain's emotional storage (amygdala) to the areas where it can be properly processed (prefrontal cortex). The intense emotional charge is neutralized, allowing you to recall the event without distress—it becomes a neutral memory instead of a trigger. When faith is integrated, the Holy Spirit is invited to consecrate the healing, transforming the memory with divine truth and grace.
-
Depending on your needs and desires, there are three options:
1.) 55-minutes: This is the “traditional” length of a session and is most common for those that need structured weekly sessions due to scheduling constraints etc.
2.) 90-minutes: This session length may be necessary for those that need more time for processing traumatic events or desire additional time for verbal processing.
3.) 3.5 hours: This is for our EMDR Intensive Program folks, which requires additional paperwork. The folks in this program prefer a more efficient approach to healing who have the availability to do so.
-
An EMDR session is a structured, gentle, and collaborative process where you remain fully awake and in control. It's not talk therapy; it's a way to guide your brain toward healing without needing to deeply re-live the past.
The Process
Preparation: We build safety, discuss your goals, and equip you with calming tools. We only proceed when you feel ready.
Processing: You hold a memory in mind while engaging in bilateral stimulation (like eye movements or gentle hand buzzers). This stimulation helps the brain "unstick" the memory's intense emotion, moving it to a place where it can be properly resolved.
Closure: The session ends with grounding techniques to leave you feeling settled and safe.
The result is that your past trauma loses its power, allowing you to react to the present with newfound peace and clarity.
-
EMDR is highly effective if your current struggles (like anxiety, avoidance, or intense emotional reactions) are rooted in a past negative experience or trauma. It’s a great option if you feel "stuck" or find traditional talk therapy hasn't fully resolved the emotional charge of a memory.
The best way to know for sure is to schedule a brief consultation with an EMDR therapist. They can review your history, assess your readiness, and ensure it's the right healing path for you at this time. Call Jordan for more info at 843-900-0242.

Transform Your Mind:
Overcome Anxiety and PTSD
Overcome anxiety, and other trauma-related conditions with EMDR therapy at Wholly Beautiful. This innovative, evidence-based therapy helps desensitize and reprocess distressing memories, enabling you to heal deeply and effectively. Through our guided sessions, you’ll learn to face challenging thoughts and emotions, reducing their power and finding relief from symptoms that have held you back.
Your past experiences don't have to define your future. Christian EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) offers a sacred, evidence-based path to process painful memories and trauma while intentionally grounding the work in your faith. We believe that true healing is a holistic experience, encompassing your mind, body, and spirit. In this compassionate space, your therapist will guide you through the EMDR process, but we also deliberately invite the Holy Spirit to minister to the places of deep hurt. This is not just clinical work; it's a spiritual journey where we seek God’s truth to override the lies of trauma, replacing fear with His profound peace, and shame with His unconditional grace.
Imagine finally lifting the weight you’ve carried, not by effort alone, but by allowing God’s presence to meet you in the memory. This specialized approach uses the proven framework of EMDR to unlock the brain’s natural healing capacity while actively relying on the assurance of your identity in Christ.
As we reprocess difficult memories, we ask God to reveal His perspective, bringing light to the darkness and transforming your understanding of the past. If you are seeking a way to integrate your faith into your mental health care and desire a healing that is both professionally grounded and deeply spiritual, Christian EMDR offers the powerful, redemptive path to move from merely surviving to truly thriving.

EMDR stands for: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.
EMDR therapy is a form of psychotherapy, specifically designed to help people process and heal from traumatic memories and difficult life experiences.
Originally developed by psychologist Dr. Francine Shapiro in the late 1980s, EMDR has been particularly effective in treating trauma-related conditions like PTSD, anxiety, depression, and phobias.
-
In an EMDR session, I will guide you to focus on a distressing memory or negative thought pattern while also engaging in bilateral stimulation, typically through side-to-side eye movements, tapping, or auditory tones.
Bilateral stimulation appears to help the brain process traumatic memories in a way that reduces their emotional intensity. You may reframe these memories and integrate them in a healthier way, often finding that the distress associated with the memories decreases over time.
As sessions continue, EMDR can help you process unresolved experiences, reduce negative feelings, and ultimately integrate these memories into a more adaptive and balanced perspective.
-
Research supports EMDR as an effective approach for trauma and other psychological conditions. Many clients find relief even after a relatively short series of sessions compared to traditional talk therapy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Meet Jordan
I am a counselor, art therapist and holistic life coach serving women and girls throughout South Carolina and the US. My priority is to create a therapeutic environment that promotes growth and positive change in your life.
I look forward to working with you on your path to realizing your strengths and opportunities for personal development. Coaching and art therapy are processes that can move you toward being the healthiest version of yourself and living the life you desire.
You deserve the very best, and I am glad you are here.
I began my journey as an art therapist in 2014. Before that time, I had not heard of art therapy; I only knew that creativity brought me joy and that I wanted to make a difference in the world.
After seeking further education, I received my Master of Arts for Art Therapy from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in December 2018. During my studies, I completed practicums and internships working with various populations, including traumatic brain injury survivors, adults with intellectual delays, and adults seeking wellness in a mental health facility.
After completing my internship at HopeWay in Charlotte, NC, I became an integrative therapist involved with various groups. These groups focused on art therapy, yoga, meditation, nutrition education, music therapy, horticultural therapy, and recreational therapy. During this time, I also found my love for yoga, recognizing the mental health benefits I was experiencing in my own life.
Upon landing at home at the onslaught of COVID-19, like many other people around the world, I took advantage of the extra time to receive certification as a yoga and mindfulness teacher in August 2020.
I moved with my family “back home” to Florence, South Carolina, and started my private practice during this same year. As I continued to host art therapy groups remotely for HopeWay, I began offering services to women on the path of wholly beautiful living.
Recognizing the significant need for helping professionals worldwide, I began researching other ways I could help in my community. Not everyone has a diagnosable mental illness, but they still need someone therapeutically trained. In September of 2021, I completed intensive life coach training with the Life Purpose Institute and became certified as a life coach in December 2021. A year later, I received my associate license as a professional counselor in the state of South Carolina and am now an independent counselor. This combination of training and credentials allows me to work with a wide variety of populations and continue to work with people in need.
Now, I incorporate art therapy, yoga, coaching, and meditation in my work with clients and personal development. I know the benefits of these practices firsthand, and I trust each person’s individuality to take the path that leads them to whole-hearted living.
Growing up, I enjoyed performing on stage in dance and show choir. I also found solace in creating things with my hands – anything from sewing to drawing and painting. I kept sketchbooks filled with dress designs, animals, and people. Now, I prefer focusing on nature, symbolic/metaphorical imagery, and expressing emotion in any way that feels good.
My days generally consist of self-care, working with clients, and spending time with my family. I enjoy learning about new concepts and theories in psychology. I try to eat healthily, and I’m also a sucker for french fries and sweets. I go through phases of being a “coffeeholic” and then cutting back drastically. I could easily be in either phase today or tomorrow.
My primary motivator and inspiration in life is my family – my husband (Ben), two boys (Liam and Callan), two dogs (Sage and Hiro), and two cats (Poe and Cheetoh). We do things like create night and video game night, and we also love to watch movies together. (You’ll hear me drop movie references in almost every session together!) One of our favorite family experiences is Legoland or Universal Studios in Florida.
Every day, I search for and create joy through the little things. I do yoga, create art (even if it’s just a scribble), snuggle my kids, chat with my husband, and listen to the birds. I believe in the innate desire of the human being to be ever-changing and constantly growing.
